Locking and Unlocking Online Reservations

Overview:
 
1. To lock online reservations, click on the magnifying glass icon in the bottom left corner of the Floor Plan page. 
 

2. A window will appear. 

 

  

3. Check the box in the upper right hand corner labeled "Website Lock."

 

 

4. A new window will appear, this is where you can set the start and end date of the times online reservations will be locked. 

 

 

  * in this example the start date is set the the 16th and the end date is set for the 16th as well. 

 

  

5. Then, click on the blue "lock" button in the bottom right hand corner of the window. 

 

 

6. You will be redirected to the Floor Plan page and a blue "Website" button will appear at the bottom of the page. 

 

  

7. If you need to post a message to the staff members regarding the lock, click on the "Add Journal Note" text in the bottom left hand corner of the page.

 

 

8. In the "Journal" window, click on the "Internal Note" button on the left hand side. 

 

  

9. You can then type your message into the textbox. 

 

 

10. Then, click on the save button in the bottom left hand corner of the page. 

 

 

11. You will be redirected to the Floor Plan page and your message will be visible to the staff.

 

 

7. You can also add an online notification that your guests can read when they try to book a reservation on a locked date. Start by clicking on the "Add Journal Note " text.  

 

 

8. In the window, click on the "Online Note" button. 

 

  

9. In the window, type your message in the textbox. 

 

 

10. When you are finished, click the "Save" button in the bottom right hand corner. 

 

  

11. To remove the online reservation lock, start by clicking on the blue website button at the bottom of the page. 

 

 

12. Set the "Begin Lock" and the "End Lock" dates to the dates that you locked. 

 

 

13. When you are done, click on the blue "Unlock" button in the right hand side of the window and you will be redirected to the Floor Plan page.

Optional Settings:

  • Auto-Assign: Let RestaurantConnect choose a table when a reservation is booked.
  • Quick Requests: Reduce repetitive typing with predefined keywords.
  • Auto-Agreement: Trigger a reservation for larger parties.
  • Taken-by: Require a user's name or initials for better operational accountability.
  • Permissions: Enable or restrict user's ability to exceed inventory limits.
  • Tax reservation confirmations & reminders: Enable text communications with guests.
  • Reservation policy: Include in guest communications for reservation confirmations and reminders.
